Cultural History of Worry Dolls
Worry dolls originated in Guatemala. These gorgeous little dolls represent the Mayan Princess Lxmucane, whom the Sun God gifted with the ability to solve any problem that might cause worry. It’s believed that a child can tell the doll their worries, place it under their pillow at night, and by morning they will have the wisdom to overcome their problem!
